Healing professionals practicing grounding techniques together

Meet your host

Jettie Z., LPC

Hola people! I am a licensed therapist, trainer, and coach. My approach to healing is integrative and intuitively tailored to my client's specific needs. I combine Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Parts work, Somatic Interventions as well the Polyvagal Theory to help others discover or re-discover themself.

My clinical experience includes addressing concerns related to: adoption, burnout, developmental trauma, adult attachment concerns, military families, BIPOC mental health, Latino mental health, acculturation, hustle culture, complex post traumatic stress, as well as recovery from toxic work environments.

I have over two-decades of experience working in the behavioral health field across multiple settings.

This 8-hour training blends teaching, demonstration, and embodied practice.

You’ll learn how to apply nervous system-informed tools to a wide range of client presentations, while also engaging in your own inner work along the way.

Participants are encouraged to join group consultations following the training for continued integration and support.

Please note: CEUs are not currently available for this training.

Parts Work

Parts show up as internal thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The approach identifies different parts (think "inner child") and helps individuals develop a compassionate relationship with each part. By working with these parts, individuals can reduce internal conflicts, increase self awareness as well as improve emotional regulation.

1

Somatic Work

Somatic work focuses on the connection between the mind and body. It helps people release and heal from stressful or traumatic experiences that are stored in the body. By using techniques such as breathing exercises and body awareness, somatic work can help reduce stress, anxiety, and physical pain.

2

Polyvagal Theory

Polyvagal theory explores how the nervous system responds to stress and safety. It helps people understand survival patterns like fight, flight, or freeze. Using tools like breath, movement, and vocal tone, polyvagal practices support regulation, grounding, and a deeper sense of internal safety.

“Having Jettie as a supervisor has not only expanded my clinical abilities but she has also helped me build confidence as a therapist. Her techniques have pushed me to trust myself as a clinician which has transformed my skills completely. Jettie has always been more than helpful with providing resources, connections, and knowledge. Her supervisory style has allowed for me to build my own clinical approach while also providing me with very dependable support when needed.

My favorite thing above all is that Jettie continues to provide a space for me to feel safe and heard regardless of what I bring into the room, which I am very appreciative of."
